Chillicothe, OH – Four-Vehicle Crash Injures Multiple on US-35 at MP 34

Chillicothe, OH (August 15, 2024) – A multi-vehicle crash involving serious injuries occurred Wednesday afternoon on US Route 35 near milepost 34, Jefferson Township. The incident began when a truck tire blew on a 2019 Kenworth 310, driven by Abdullahi Aden, causing it to cross into oncoming traffic and initiate a chain reaction.

The truck collided with a Dodge Grand Caravan and overturned, subsequently being struck by a Lincoln MKC and a Jeep Cherokee. Aden was airlifted to Grant Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. A child from the Caravan was also airlifted to Children’s Hospital, while others involved received treatment for minor injuries at Adena Medical Center.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances leading to the accident. More updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
