Clarksburg, WV (August 6, 2024) – A structure fire broke out in the 1900 block of Glen Falls Rd on Sunday, August 4. The incident started as an oven fire but escalated, resulting in burn injuries to an individual.
Responding units initially reported the fire extinguished but then confirmed it was still active. Ambulance personnel treated the burn victim at the scene and requested air medical support, which had a 30-minute estimated arrival time. The patient was transported to the hospital, where HealthNet landed. Command requested utility companies be notified as the fire continued to burn.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the fire and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
