Columbus, WI (September 13, 2024) – Fire crews responded to a house fire early Friday morning, September 13, on the 230 block of West Harrison St, near United Methodist Church. The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the fire began around 5:25 a.m.
One woman sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to a hospital by Medflight. A man was also reported injured, though his current condition remains unknown.
Mutual aid, including the Salvation Army, provided assistance at the scene. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing, with authorities expected to release more details soon.
