Crisp County, GA (September 6, 2024) – An 85-year-old woman, Barbara Ann Bridges, tragically died in a crash involving a log truck on Wednesday morning. The accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. on Hwy 280, near Striplings General Store. Authorities reported that Bridges’ vehicle failed to yield while turning left onto Hwy 280 and was struck by the log truck.
Bridges was pronounced dead at 8:30 a.m. The Crisp County Coroner’s Office confirmed her identity. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
