Draper, UT (August 5, 2024) – Multiple crashes on I-15 near 15200 South caused injuries Sunday afternoon, August 4. A Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) truck was hit from behind while responding to an initial crash. The truck had its lights and sirens activated at mile marker 285 when struck.
The driver and passenger of the car that hit the UDOT truck were taken to the hospital in poor and fair condition. The HOV lane was temporarily blocked but has reopened. Additionally, two vehicles collided on southbound I-15 at mile marker 285, injuring a woman. Her condition is currently unknown.
Authorities are investigating the incidents and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
