Dunwoody, GA (September 2, 2024) – A 33-year-old woman died, and three others were injured in a crash on Interstate 285 early Sunday, September 1. The incident occurred around 3:48 a.m. near the Ashford Dunwoody Rd exit. A white Scion collided with a red F-250 truck while changing lanes toward the GA 400 exit ramp. The Scion’s occupants were trapped, requiring extrication by DeKalb Fire personnel.
The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was hospitalized in stable condition. The F-250 driver, suffering minor injuries, refused treatment. The Dunwoody Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
