Ellenwood, GA (August 28, 2024) – Nineteen students sustained injuries in a collision between a school bus and a car on Wednesday morning. The accident occurred at 4223 River Rd, where the bus was transporting students to Salem Middle School. Emergency responders took the students to various medical facilities as a precautionary measure.
Four students suffered minor injuries, while a person from the car sustained moderate injuries. The bus was found in a ditch with significant front-end damage. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident and the lack of seat belts on the bus.
