Etowah County, AL – Fatality in Motorcycle and Car Accident on US 431 near Happy Hill Rd

Etowah County, AL (August 8, 2024) – On Monday, August 5, a two-vehicle accident on US 431 near Happy Hill Rd resulted in a fatality. At 8:50 PM, a motorcycle driven by Jerry Hollingsworth, 49, collided with a Toyota Camry. The impact ejected Hollingsworth from his motorcycle, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is investigating the circumstances of the crash and is expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
