Eufaula, OK – Motorcycle Crash on OK-9 Causes Fatality

Eufaula, OK (September 30, 2024) – A tragic accident involving four motorcycles and a car occurred on Saturday evening, September 28, resulting in the death of a 34-year-old man from Wilburton. The collision took place at approximately 7:03 p.m. at the intersection of OK-9 and S 4180 Road, south of Eufaula.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), James Harp was transported by Survival Flight to a hospital in Tulsa, where he was pronounced deceased in the early hours of September 29. Harp’s passenger, 26-year-old Brianna Barnes, sustained trunk and leg injuries and was also admitted to a Tulsa hospital for treatment.

In addition to Harp and Barnes, another motorcyclist involved in the crash, 40-year-old Mitchell Anglet, was admitted with head, trunk, and leg injuries. A passenger on another motorcycle, 28-year-old Taylor Patrick, was transported to the hospital with trunk injuries. The driver of that motorcycle, 36-year-old Daniel Patrick, refused EMS treatment at the scene.

All individuals who were admitted for injuries were transported by air. Fortunately, the driver of the car involved in the collision, 68-year-old Beverly Monks, was not injured.
