Eutaw, AL – Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Hwy 11

Eutaw, AL (August 13, 2024) – A fatal pedestrian accident took place early Monday morning, August 12, claiming the life of Eddie J. Winters, 59, of Prichard. The tragic incident occurred when Winters was struck by a vehicle while walking along Hwy 11 in Greene County.

The collision happened at approximately 4:20 a.m., about two miles north of Eutaw. Winters was hit by a 2016 Toyota Avalon and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding authorities. The early morning hours contributed to the severity of the incident.
