Evans County, GA (August 31, 2024) – A severe two-car collision occurred at the intersection of Hwy 301 and Hwy 169 around 2:00 p.m on August 31. Three people died at the scene, and three others sustained injuries.
Emergency services from Evans County requested mutual aid as the crash involved six people. Two medical helicopters were dispatched to transport critically injured victims to trauma centers. Evans County Fire and Rescue worked to extricate those trapped in the wreckage. Two victims were airlifted, and a third was taken by ambulance to East Georgia Regional Medical Center.
