Franklin County, TX (October 18, 2024) – A serious jet ski accident occurred Thursday afternoon on Lake Cypress Springs, resulting in three individuals being transported to the hospital. At approximately 2:30 p.m., Texas Game Wardens responded to the scene of the collision involving two jet skis.

According to officials, the accident happened when the first jet ski slowed and turned in front of the second jet ski, which was following closely behind. The first jet ski was operated by 18-year-old Johan Rasmussen, with 18-year-old Naja Thomsen as his passenger, both from Denmark. The second jet ski was occupied by a juvenile, also from Denmark.

In the aftermath of the collision, Rasmussen and Thomsen were airlifted to Medical City Plano for treatment, while the juvenile was transported by ambulance to Christus Mother Frances in Sulphur Springs. The conditions of the individuals involved have not been disclosed, and the accident remains under investigation by the Texas Game Wardens.
