Gering, NE (August 13, 2024) – A crash on Monday morning left two motorcyclists seriously injured after colliding with a pickup on Hwy 26 between Morrill and Mitchell. The incident occurred at 11:30 a.m. when a Toyota Tundra attempted to turn north onto County Rd 11, striking the eastbound motorcycle.
The injured motorcyclists were transported to Regional West Hospital. The Toyota driver sustained minor injuries but declined treatment. Earlier that day, another crash occurred on Hwy 71 near Gering, involving a Jeep and a semi. The Jeep driver suffered serious injuries.
Authorities are investigating both incidents and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
