Goodyear, AZ (August 28, 2024) – A man and woman sustained injuries after an ATV collided with a semi-truck late Wednesday, August 28, in Goodyear. The crash occurred around 11 p.m. near MC-85 and Bullard Ave. Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputies found the ATV had struck the semi-truck’s cab.
Both ATV riders were hospitalized; one suffered serious injuries, while the other’s injuries are life-threatening. MCSO confirmed neither rider wore a helmet during the crash. The semi-truck driver was unharmed.
Deputies are investigating the crash and suspect speed and impairment may have contributed to the accident. Authorities are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
