Honolulu, HI (October 21, 2024) – A serious motor vehicle accident occurred in the Kahala area on Sunday night, resulting in injuries to three individuals, one of whom is in critical condition. The crash took place around 8:20 p.m. on Diamond Head Road, near Triangle Park.

According to the Honolulu Police Department (HPD), a 59-year-old male driver was speeding eastbound on Diamond Head Road when he lost control of his vehicle. The car veered into the westbound lane and collided with a parked vehicle occupied by two people. Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene to provide medical assistance.

The driver, along with his 34-year-old female passenger, was transported to a local hospital. The driver is reported to be in serious condition, while the passenger is listed in critical condition. Notably, neither the driver nor the passenger was wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

In the parked vehicle, a 27-year-old woman was also rushed to a nearby hospital in serious condition. A 28-year-old man who was in the same vehicle sustained minor injuries but refused further medical treatment.
