Houston County, AL – Five Injured in Head-On Crash on US Hwy 84 at Panther Rd

Houston County, AL (August 19, 2024) – A head-on collision on US Hwy 84 at Panther Rd resulted in five people being injured on Saturday. Emergency services responded at 4:54 p.m. to find one patient unresponsive and multiple others in need of urgent care.

Wicksburg Fire-Rescue sent a fire engine and two ambulances, with Dothan Fire Engine 8 and Pilcher Ambulance Service also assisting. The first ambulance, with a trauma alert, transported one patient to Southeast Health, arriving at 5:40 p.m. Another ambulance took two patients to Flowers Hospital, while Pilcher Ambulance transported the remaining patients.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
