Jasper, MO – Pedestrian Struck and Injured on Highway YY

Jasper, MO (August 2, 2024) – A pedestrian was injured on Thursday, August 1, at 11:31 a.m. on Highway YY. Stephen J. Gabriel, 52, was driving a 2005 Kenworth northbound when he struck a 14-year-old female pedestrian.

The teenager, from Carl Junction, MO, sustained moderate injuries and was transported by EMS to Freeman West in Joplin. Gabriel’s truck had minor damage and was driven away from the scene.
