Kansas City, MO – Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash at US 24 Hwy and Little Blue Pkwy

Kansas City, MO (August 18, 2024) – Independence Police are investigating a serious motorcycle crash that occurred Saturday, August 19 night. Around 7:45 p.m., a 2023 KTM motorcycle traveling eastbound on US 24 Hwy collided with a 2008 Mercury SUV at the intersection of Little Blue Pkwy. 

The motorcycle reportedly ran a red light and struck the SUV, which was making a left turn. The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital. The SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
