Kapolei, HI – Hit-and-Run Accident on Makakilo Dr Causes Serious Injuries

Kapolei, HI (August 5, 2024) – A man sustained serious injuries in a hit-and-run accident involving a moped on Sunday, August 4. The incident occurred around 1:12 a.m. on Makakilo Dr. The Honolulu Police Department reported that a 25-year-old man was traveling north on his moped when an unknown vehicle rear-ended him.

The driver did not stop and continued driving north. Emergency Medical Services responded and transported the man to a hospital in serious condition. Authorities are investigating the incident and request anyone with information to assist in the ongoing investigation.
