Kenna, WV (September 18, 2024) – A 76-year-old woman tragically died in a house fire early Wednesday, September 17, on Indian Springs Ln in Kenna. According to the West Virginia Fire Marshal’s Office, the fire fully engulfed the home by the time first responders arrived. The remote location made access difficult for fire crews.
The home was declared a total loss, and authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
The Jackson County EMS, Ripley Fire Department, Southern Jackson County Volunteer Fire Department, and Jackson County Sheriff’s Department all responded to the scene. Further details will be provided as the investigation continues.
