Kingmont, WV – Airplane Crash Results in Injuries on Airport Rd

Kingmont, WV (August 30, 2024) – An airplane accident occurred at the end of the runway on Airport Road, resulting in multiple injuries. The incident was reported early today when the aircraft veered off the runway towards the river. Emergency responders arrived on scene to find two conscious and alert patients near a damaged plane leaking fuel approximately 100 feet from the runway.

Fire department personnel utilized a stokes basket to safely evacuate the patients up a hill. Both individuals have been transported to a local hospital for treatment. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, and further updates are expected as authorities continue to assess the situation.
