Lancaster Township, PA – Fatal Fire at Apartment on Wyncroft Ln

Lancaster Township, PA (August 12, 2024) – A devastating second-alarm fire at an apartment building on 675 Wyncroft Ln led to one fatality and several emergencies early Saturday. Lancaster Township Fire Department reported heavy flames upon arrival, prompting a rapid escalation to a second alarm. Tragically, one person was reported missing and later found deceased. Multiple fire crews worked intensely with master streams and numerous lines to control the fire, which was eventually knocked down.

In the chaos, a firefighter was urgently classified for medical attention, and two pets perished. The Red Cross is assisting 22 displaced residents. The cause of the fire is under investigation, with a fire marshal on the scene to determine specifics.
