Las Vegas, NV – Injury Motorcycle Wreck at N Rancho Dr & N Torrey Pines Dr

Las Vegas, NV (October 15, 2024) – A tragic motorcycle accident occurred on the evening of October 14, at approximately 7:02 PM at the intersection of North Rancho Drive and North Torrey Pines Drive. According to the Las Vegas Metro Police, a 2013 KTM 1190 RC8 motorcycle was traveling north on Rancho at a high speed when it collided with a 2020 Lincoln Corsair that was turning left to enter a private drive.

The impact occurred just before the intersection, resulting in the rider being ejected from the motorcycle. Emergency responders transported the rider, a 32-year-old man, to UMC Trauma with life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, he later succumbed to his injuries.

The driver and passenger of the Lincoln also reported injuries and were taken to UMC for medical attention. Authorities have indicated that the driver of the Lincoln is not suspected of impairment.

This incident marks a somber milestone, as it represents the 123rd traffic-related fatality in the jurisdiction of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for the year 2024. The LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic accident.
