Lee County, FL – Motorcyclist Dies in Collision with Truck on SR-82

Lee County, FL (August 23, 2024) – A fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a truck occurred on State Road 82 on Thursday, August 22. The collision happened around 6:18 p.m. near SR-82 and Grant Blvd.

The motorcyclist died at the scene. Deputies from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office are helping Florida Highway Patrol Troopers with traffic control.

The eastbound lanes of SR-82 remain closed, causing significant delays. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
