Liberty Lake, WA – DUI Accident with Injuries at E Appleway Ave and Spokane Bridge Rd

Liberty Lake, WA (September 7, 2024) – Two motorcyclists sustained injuries Thursday night, September 5 when an impaired minivan driver struck them. The incident occurred at E Appleway Ave and Spokane Bridge Rd around 8:20 p.m. Both women, riding separate motorcycles, received potentially serious injuries, though not life-threatening. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Authorities arrested the minivan driver, identified as Howland, at the scene. Officers obtained a search warrant for a blood sample to test for impairment levels. The collision happened as Howland’s van, heading east, failed to handle a curve and collided with the motorcycles traveling west.
