Londonderry, NH – Fatal Motorcycle Accident at Rockingham Rd and Mammoth Rd

Londonderry, NH (October 14, 2024) – A tragic motorcycle accident occurred in Londonderry on Saturday, October 12 resulting in the death of Brian Marcoux, a 53-year-old resident of Dracut, Massachusetts. The incident took place at approximately 12:18 p.m. at the intersection of Rockingham Road and Mammoth Road.

Emergency responders, including the Londonderry Fire Department, Manchester Fire, and police from both Manchester and Londonderry, arrived at the scene to find a serious collision involving a 2019 Toyota Highlander and a 2024 Harley Davidson FLHX motorcycle.

Initial investigations revealed that Marcoux was riding his motorcycle northbound on Rockingham Road when the Toyota Highlander, driven by 53-year-old Felly Mizenga of Manchester, attempted to make a left turn to head north onto Mammoth Road. Unfortunately, this maneuver brought the Highlander into the path of Marcoux’s motorcycle, leading to the devastating crash.

The Londonderry Fire Department transported Marcoux to the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, where he was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival. Mizenga was evaluated on the scene but did not require hospitalization.

The Londonderry Police Department’s Technical Accident Reconstruction (TAR) team is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic accident. While all aspects of the incident remain under review, preliminary findings suggest that speed and alcohol do not appear to be contributing factors at this time.
