Memphis, TN – Three Killed, Several Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash at Kirby Pkwy & Raines Rd

Memphis, TN (August 21, 2024) – A tragic crash on Tuesday night at Kirby Pkwy and Raines Rd left three dead and several injured. The incident began when a 16-year-old suspect, fleeing police after an attempted traffic stop at Getwell Rd and Cottonwood Rd, ran a red light, causing a five-vehicle collision.

Two women died at the scene, and a third died at Regional One Hospital. Seven others, including a 2-year-old girl, sustained injuries. The suspect was hospitalized with non-critical injuries. The investigation remains ongoing, and charges are expected.
