Metairie, LA (September 11, 2024) – A motorcyclist tragically died following a crash on Tuesday, September 10, in Metairie. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Purdue Rd and Meadowdale Dr.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that the motorcycle was heading north at high speed when it collided with an SUV. The motorcyclist suffered severe injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where they later passed away. The driver and passenger of the SUV sustained minor injuries.
Authorities confirmed that impairment is not suspected for the SUV driver, who provided a voluntary blood sample. The investigation is ongoing.
