Miami Gardens, FL – Arrest and Injuries in High-Speed Pursuit Ending in Rollover on SR 826

Miami Gardens, FL (August 2, 2024) – A high-speed pursuit ended in a rollover crash on Thursday, August 1, on State Road 826. Authorities arrested 35-year-old Joseph Gianino following the incident.

The chase began when Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies followed a stolen black GMC Denali near the Golden Glades Interchange. The Denali veered off the road, leading to a crash involving a blue Mercedes-Benz and a box truck that rolled over. The truck ended in a pile of construction materials.

Gianino, extricated from the wrecked Denali by rescue crews, faces charges including grand theft and fleeing the scene of an accident. He was previously on probation for a similar offense.
