Mount Pocono, PA – Motorcycle Rider Dies in Hit-and-Run at Memorial Blvd & Cayuga Dr

Mount Pocono, PA (August 17, 2024) – Anthony Rodriguez, 26, from Mount Pocono, died in a hit-and-run accident on Friday night. Rodriguez was on his motorcycle at the intersection of Memorial Blvd and Cayuga Dr when a car struck him. Police were called just before 11:00 p.m. to the scene. Initial reports indicate that Rodriguez was heading north on State Route 611.

The suspect, driving a 2015-2017 Toyota Camry, crossed into the northbound lane to make a left turn, colliding with Rodriguez. The vehicle then fled the scene, traveling through Pocono Farms Development and onto Route 196 northbound. The Camry, which sustained significant front-end damage, was missing its grille, headlight assembly, and parts of the front bumper.
