Newark, DE (August 28, 2024) – A young woman died late Tuesday evening following a motorcycle accident on Main St near the Deer Park Tavern. Newark Police responded to the scene shortly after 11:50 p.m. and found the woman, in her 20s, with life-threatening injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man, also in his 20s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Christiana Hospital. The severity of his injuries remains unknown.
Initial reports suggest the woman may have been struck by a speeding motorcycle. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
