Nichols, NY – Two Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Accident at West River Rd near Tioga Downs

Nichols, NY (September 19, 2024) – A motorcycle crash near Tioga Downs seriously injured two people on Monday night. The accident occurred around 8:17 p.m. at the intersection of West River Rd and the entrance to Tioga Downs, according to the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office.

Both occupants of the motorcycle were thrown from the bike on impact and suffered serious injuries. They were transported to Robert Packer Hospital, though their conditions are currently unavailable.

Deputies detained the driver of the car involved, but it’s unclear if charges will be filed. The Tioga County Crash Investigation Unit is assisting in the investigation.
