Omaha, NE – One Critically Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Giles Rd Exit to I-80

Omaha, NE (August 16, 2024) – A multi-vehicle collision near 144th St on Thursday, August 15, involved several cars. Although initial reports suggested seven to eight, Sarpy County dispatchers confirmed four vehicles were at the scene.

One person suffered traumatic injuries and was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Another individual was taken from the scene with serious injuries. The Omaha Fire Department responded to the incident.

The Nebraska Department of Transportation urges drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. Authorities are investigating the crash and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
