Parkersburg, WV – Two Severely Injured in Pickup and Motorcycle Accident at 29th St and Birch St

Parkersburg, WV (August 28, 2024) – A motorcycle driver and passenger sustained severe injuries in a collision with a pickup truck on Monday. The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of 29th St and Birch St.

Cameron Matheny, 22, of Parkersburg, was driving the motorcycle and was later airlifted to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. His passenger, Ashton Melrose, 23, of Mineral Wells, was admitted to Camden Clark Medical Center. The pickup driver, Camron Stover, 36, of Marietta, was uninjured.

The Wood County Crash Team responded to the scene due to the severity of the injuries. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
