
Perry County, OH (October 8, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred Monday evening involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian on Ohio 93 in Harrison Township. The incident took place around 5 p.m. and prompted an investigation by the Lancaster post of the Ohio Highway Patrol.
According to reports from the patrol, Dakota Eyman, a 21-year-old resident of Corning, was traveling southbound on a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle when he struck Ella Ebert, an 82-year-old pedestrian from Crooksville, who was in the roadway. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, and Ebert was transported to Grant Medical Center, where she was unfortunately pronounced dead.
Eyman sustained injuries and was taken to Genesis HealthCare in Zanesville for treatment. The circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation, and authorities are working to gather more details about the incident.
