Roanoke, VA (August 30, 2024) – A motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries following a collision with a car Thursday evening at the intersection of Trinkle and Winsloe in northwest Roanoke. The car’s driver fled the scene but was located by police shortly after the crash.
Authorities have charged the driver with DUI, DUI maiming, felony hit and run, and misdemeanor obstruction. The driver’s identity has not yet been released.
The intersection, which was closed for investigation, has since been reopened. Further details will be provided as the inquiry into the cause of the incident progresses.
