Sacramento, CA (August 2, 2024) – A fire engulfed a single-story house near 42nd St and Iowa Ave on Thursday, August 1. Sacramento Fire Department crews arrived at approximately 3:55 p.m. and found the house ablaze. Firefighters discovered three individuals with injuries; two were transported to a local hospital. Authorities detained and later released a person of interest.
A second fire at the same location occurred around 7:55 p.m., with crews extinguishing an attic fire. The house was unoccupied during the second incident.
