Sarasota, FL – Injuries in School Bus and Vehicle Accident on US 41 at Laurel Rd

Sarasota, FL (September 19, 2024) – A school bus was involved in an accident on Thursday, September 19, at 7:13 a.m. on US 41 and Laurel Rd. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and is currently investigating the cause of the crash. No students were on board the bus at the time of the accident. However, both the bus driver and a bus aide sustained injuries and were treated at the scene by paramedics.

The driver of another vehicle involved in the collision was transported to SMH-Venice for treatment of injuries. While the cause of the crash remains unclear, authorities continue to gather details.
