Scottsdale, AZ (September 2, 2024) – A motorcyclist died on Saturday, August 31, after a crash involving a pickup truck in Scottsdale. The incident occurred around 9:20 a.m. near McKellips Rd and Miller Rd. Police reported that the rider, 36-year-old Elliot Carter, was traveling westbound on McKellips Rd when he ran a red light and collided with the truck in the intersection.
Carter was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. He was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died. The two occupants of the pickup truck were not seriously injured.
