Spring, TX (August 16, 2024) – Investigators with the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office reported that an elderly woman died in a house fire on Wednesday. A 911 call alerted responders to smoke from a home on Loddington St in the Fox Run neighborhood, stating the resident was likely trapped.
South Montgomery County firefighters found the woman unconscious on the bathroom floor and pulled her from the blaze. Despite efforts to revive her, she died from smoke inhalation. MCFMO investigators confirmed the fire began on a couch. The investigation into the incident continues.
