Preliminary investigations indicate that a 2013 Ford Edge, driven by 34-year-old Abbie B. Daniels from Valley Park, MO, attempted to make a lane change. During this maneuver, the right front of the Ford Edge struck the left front of a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado, operated by 45-year-old Donald A. Mayfield from Cedar Hill, MO. The impact caused the Ford Edge to be pushed back into the rear of a 2015 Dodge Durango, driven by 42-year-old Sean T. Fitzsimmons from Eureka, MO.

Emergency responders, including Fenton Fire Protection, arrived at the scene to provide assistance. Donald Mayfield, the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital South for medical evaluation and treatment.
