According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, the bus began to cross from south to north when the man on the scooter attempted to cross the trail crosswalk. Unfortunately, the bus struck the scooter, leading to severe injuries for the victim. He was promptly transported to St. Petersburg Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
