The incident occurred in the 200 block of North Main Street, prompting emergency crews to respond at approximately 4:49 a.m. after receiving reports through Bulloch County 911.

Firefighters from both the Statesboro Fire Department and Bulloch County Fire Department arrived on the scene to find heavy smoke billowing from the residence. Reports indicated that one person may still be trapped inside the home, leading to an immediate and aggressive firefighting effort while conducting an interior search for any potential victims.

During their search, firefighters discovered an unresponsive female inside the home. Emergency medical services were called to the scene to provide immediate medical attention, and the victim was transported to a local hospital for critical care.
