Tempe, AZ – Two Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Loop 202 Red Mountain

Tempe, AZ (August 20, 2024) – Two people died in a crash involving three vehicles on Loop 202 Red Mountain on Monday night, August 19. The incident occurred near Scottsdale Rd around 8 p.m.

According to Arizona Department of Public Safety officials, a red passenger car rear-ended an SUV. A pickup truck then struck the SUV, pushing it into the median barrier wall. The two fatalities were in the red car. The pickup truck driver was hospitalized, while the SUV driver was unharmed.
