Tonopah, AZ (August 29, 2024) – A semi-truck accident resulted in serious injuries on Thursday afternoon, August 29, on the eastbound side of Interstate 10 near 411th Ave in Tonopah. The crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. when the semi-truck driver reportedly jackknifed, striking two other vehicles.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported serious injuries but did not provide further details. The eastbound lanes were closed for about two and a half hours, causing a 19-mile traffic backup. The westbound lanes remained open.
