Tucson, AZ – Fatal Motorcycle Accident on E Valencia Rd and S Craycroft Rd

August 26, 2024

Tucson, AZ (August 26, 2024) – A man died early Saturday morning, August 24, after a motorcycle accident on Tucson’s southeast side. The crash occurred just after 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of E Valencia Rd and S Craycroft Rd. Officers found a crashed motorcycle but no driver at the scene.

While investigating, police received a welfare check request for 25-year-old Jacob Patrick Egan, who had last seen riding in the area. Officers later found Egan dead at the bottom of a large embankment, hundreds of feet from the initial impact.

Detectives believe Egan hit a guardrail while speeding, causing him to go airborne down the embankment. Authorities are investigating the circumstances and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
