Tulsa, OK – 1 Killed in Pedestrian Crash on I-244 near N Sheridan Rd

Tulsa, OK (October 20, 2024) – A tragic collision occurred on I-244, approximately 1.4 miles east of North Sheridan Road, resulting in the death of a pedestrian. The accident took place at approximately 8:52 p.m. on October 19.

Preliminary reports indicate that 40-year-old Crystal Cortez was struck while walking along the roadway. Sadly, she was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel. The driver involved in the incident, identified as 42-year-old Chris Haws, along with a 17-year-old female passenger, were not injured in the crash.
