Waterbury, CT (August 12, 2024) – A hit-and-run incident claimed the life of a woman late Monday evening, August 12, at 603 E Main St. Waterbury Police responded to the scene around 10 p.m. where they discovered the woman had been struck while crossing the street. She was rushed to St. Mary’s Hospital but succumbed to her injuries shortly after.
The driver involved in the incident fled the scene before police arrival. The Waterbury Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is actively investigating the circumstances of the accident.
