Westport, CT – Critical Injuries in Pedestrian Accident on Imperial Ave near Post Rd E

Westport, CT (August 8, 2024) – On Wednesday, August 7, two pedestrians were critically injured after being struck by a vehicle on Imperial Ave near Post Rd E. The accident occurred at 6:45 PM when a northbound vehicle veered off the road and hit the pedestrians on the sidewalk.

Both pedestrians sustained significant injuries and were transported to Norwalk Hospital, where they remain in critical condition. The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the police.

The Westport Police Accident Investigation Team, along with the Fairfield Police Accident Investigation Team, is investigating the incident. Authorities are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
