Wichita, KS – Motorcycle Rider Seriously Injured in Crash on I-235

Wichita, KS (August 29, 2024) – Danny S. Duncan, 59, of Wichita, suffered serious injuries after a tire detached from a Jeep and hit his motorcycle. The accident occurred on Interstate 235 near Southwest Boulevard at 8:37 p.m. Wednesday.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the Jeep was heading north when its left rear tire crossed the median and struck Duncan’s southbound Harley-Davidson. Duncan, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital. The Jeep’s driver, Dain B. Mitchell, 56, of Wichita, was uninjured. Authorities are still investigating the incident.
